Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette Limited Edition 2014

Late last year, Hourglass released the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette as a Limited Edition for their holiday collection. I spent a few months going back and forth on whether or not I should make that kind of commitment - but I did, and it's been a little over half a year now and I still have no regrets!

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette is a limited edition palette featuring three shades of ambient lighting blush - Their best selling shades Luminous Flush and Mood Exposure and their new shade Incandescent Electra, which was exclusive to this palette however it has since been made a part of their permanent collection! Hourglass blushes are described to be "groundbreaking blushes that create seamless, soft-focus and multi-dimensional colour".

Each of the blushes have their own separate pans encased in a luxurious gold palette. I personally love the design of this palette and product, they're just so easy on the eyes unfortunately they're fragile products due to the fact that they are hand-made powders using an advance miscelare technique creating the perfect balance of pigment and powder, no two look alike. The texture of Hourglass powder blushes are soft, airy and very finely milled so they're a tad bit powdery but they're very, very pigmented, so these must be applied with a very light hand. Each of the blushes blend seamlessly with very little effort and can be applied heavily for a vibrant pop of colour or blended out to a subtle, sheer finish. Each of these blushes yield a soft-focus, luminous sheen and can be used wet or dry.

Luminous Flush - A champagne rose blush

Incandescent Electra - A cool-tone peach blush  

Mood Exposure - A soft plum blush.

These are all very wearable shades that are natural and flattering on all skin tones. I find these to last up to 6 hours. Unfortunately, this palette is no longer available for purchase however these blushes/shades are available individually from their current blush range.
