Laura Mercier's trademark flawless face #findyourflawless

Ania Milczarczyk, one of the industry's most in-demand talent has recently been announced Laura Mercier's Australian Ambassador late last year and, for the first time ever, she shared her pro tips to achieving her signature looks in a live demonstration at David Jones in Sydney. So, if you're all about that glow life, here are her favourite products and how she uses them -

Laura Mercier Primer
Ania favors the original primer and recommends using it directly before foundation, anything underneath is completely optional, however less is best.

The foundation primer ensures that make up lasts all day and acts as a barrier between moisturiser and foundation allowing smooth application and a soft-focus finish.

Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturiser
A big advocate of "less is more", Ania applies an illuminating tinted moisturiser quite sparingly for a natural looking coverage focusing mainly on the cheeks, nose and forehead. If you prefer a base with a little bit more coverage, the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Photo Edition Foundation can also substitute or be used on top of the tinted moisturiser for a more flawless appearance.

The unique dewy complex keeps the skin hydrated, protected and luminous. This product contains SPF 20, micronised pearls, shea butter, sodium hyaluronate, liquorice root and green tea, vitamins A, E and C. Each of these key ingredients provide the skin with moisturising benefits, anti-inflammatory agents to soothe and calm the skin and anti-oxidants to protect the skin from external aggressors and free radical damage. The coverage is sheer and can be layered with other foundations for a custom blend and radiant finish that's long-wearing and colour-true.

Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage
An essential must-have product in Ania's make up kit is her Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC3. Redness and minor imperfections are essentially blurred or minimised with foundation or tinted moisturiser, however for the odd imperfections that aren't already concealed, product is lightly blended around the spot or blemish then directly on top so that it is undetectable. This is best applied on top of foundation rather than underneath it.

The Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage is a unique two-shade system concealer with a oil-free, long-wearing formula infused with chamomile and is suitable for all skin types, even those with sensitive skin. This product is super rich in pigment and requires a little amount to achieve complete coverage. As it is two-toned, this product allows you to custom-blend your own perfect shade to camouflage any imperfections. It is a fairly dry, waxy consistency and is essentially used to cover redness, blemishes, age spots or dark veins only. I would not recommend using this under the eyes. Instead, I highly recommend the Laura Mercier Secret Concealer which is more emollient and moisture-rich that provides creaseless high-coverage, specifically used to conceal and brighten dark under eye circles.

Laura Mercier Candleglow Palette
The glow section of the palette can be used as a highlight for dramatic looks. Ania uses it under the eyebrows, in the tear duct area, on the eyelids and cupids bow.

Eye colours provide a delicate wash of shimmer to the eyes and the highlighting powder softly illuminates prominent facial features. These powders have a luxe texture and blend flawlessly. Ania demonstrated that blush can be substituted with the 'radiance' powder on the apples of the cheeks, just above the contour.

Laura Mercier Indiscretion Face Illuminator
This highlighter features a soft rose gold shimmer and is a water-resistant, long-wearing formula. This is Ania's personal favourite product to use on the tops of the cheekbones, brow bone and inner corners of the eyes to highlight. It has a sheer, but buildable pearlescent colour that is flattering on just about anyone, particularly those with medium to deep skin tones.

Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder
This product can be used as an eyeshadow, blush, contour or face tanner. To lightly contour and sculpt the cheeks, powder is applied lightly and gradually where the cheek bones sit. Adding bronzer helps to sculpt and define facial structure.

The matte radiance baked powder is a ultra smooth powder with a multi-dimensional, soft-matte finish. These powders are ultra lightweight, yield smooth and buildable intensity and is beautifully long-wearing. These are available in three bronze shades and one highlight shade which has (and always will be) my holy grail for strobing.

Change only what you can't live with, but try to accept who you are, and say yes to what makes you unique.
