The Velour Lovers lipstick range are formulated without talc, silicone, paragons, sulfates and are dermatologist tested. They're suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. These lipsticks claim to have a smooth, creamy and moisturising formula that yields vivid, high-impact colour in one stroke that will not bleed, feather or smudge…
The formula of these lipsticks are one of, if not the best I have ever tried. They feature superior emollients and mattifying powders that translate as a luscious, satin-matte finish. The Velour Lovers lip colours are made up of wax blend and jojoba for smooth moisture, hyaluronic acid for intense hydration and mango butter for added moisturisation benefits. These are smooth colours; unbelievably rich in pigmentation and super saturated…and the shade names are sensual, seductive and a little bit naughty!
Unfortunately, these can smudge and transfer on contact, but they did not bleed, feather or accentuate cracks or fine lines. It's very lightweight on the lips and very comfortable to wear - no stickiness, tackiness or 'wetness'. 'French Kiss' lasted through an 8 hour working day with light eating (fairly greasy foods) and drinking, living up to it's long-wearing claim. There was slight fading, however colour was still very strong and visible and it did not dry out my lips. I do recommend exfoliating and using a lip balm beforehand for a smooth and even application and using a lip liner, primer or lightly blotting for longer lasting results.
The Velour Lovers lip colour range are now on counters at David Jones and retail for $35.
