Chi Chi Super BB Cream Review

Girls, I would like to introduce you to the holy grail of all drugstore BB cream!

Chi Chi Cosmetics Super BB Cream

The description on the Chi Chi Cosmetics website claims:

Chi Chi's Super Moisturising, Multi Benefit, Anti Ageing BB Cream contains more than 14 Essential Skin Conditioning Agents which guarantee that your skin will look radiant with a natural, healthy looking glow. Formulated with the powerful active ingredient Collguard (anti wrinkle Collagen) and Caviar Extract (highly antioxidant, super moisturising and soothing) your skin will be enriched with a wealth of vitamins and minerals to reduce the signs of ageing as well as Botanical Actives and Hyaluronic Acid microspheres for plumping and optimal looking skin. This two in one "make-up meets skincare" tinted cream formula with SPF 30 may be worn as a "light foundation with benefits" or as a primer to help conceal blemishes, uneven colouring, fine lines, scarring and other imperfections. It will let your skin breathe whilst radiating a healthy lustre. The coverage is build-able and will not cake on the skin.

Where do I start with this product? I've been using this for the past 8 weeks and it was love at first touch! The consistency of it is thin but not runny, similar to liquid foundations definitely not viscous as some bb creams can be (typically matte finishes which can be drying thick and heavy on the skin) and is super moisturising. This BB cream is perfect for those with very very dry skin, if you have oily skin I wouldn't bother because it has a dewy finish and can look like a sweaty mess.

This stuff blends effortlessly like a dream with fingers or a foundation brush (It takes me under a minute for a full face). Once on the skin I find that it immediately softens and hydrates dry patches leaving a beautiful base. Coverage is light and it feels very light on the skin, almost barely there and has a beautiful natural glow/sheen, but if you want a little more coverage this would be perfect to mix with your favourite foundation. When I first applied it, it was a really dewy finish but after a while on the skin it sets to a beautiful sheen that's not too oily and makes my dry, dull face look fresh and healthy I don't even have to use a primer or moisturise beforehand since this an all-in-one. Despite the fact that it is light coverage, it does even out skin tone, blurs imperfections, fine lines and wrinkles, and covers pigmentation, scarring and spots/blemishes. After consistently using this BB cream, I find that my face is a lot more hydrated, a few scars have faded and the overall texture of my skin is smoother and softer.

The lasting power of this foundation is typically 4-6 hours on it own, but if I choose to set or blot my T-zone it can last a maximum of 8 hours. Now if you have combo oily skin obviously the lasting power can vary since the BB cream can slide and move around the face, more rapidly during hot weather so keep that in mind.

I'm not really a fan of the packaging (net 50g) but it does come with a pump which deposits just the right amount and is easy to control. Chi chi Super BB Cream only comes in 4 different shades and they're more neutral-yellow based which can be disappointing for some people. Overall an amazing product for me and I would most definitely repurchase! Chi Chi Super BB Cream retails for $22.95 AUD and you can purchase this at Target, Myers or online as they ship worldwide! Definitely worth every single penny.
