Tom Ford Eye Color Quad (Orchid Haze)

When it comes to luxury beauty products, I am a big believer in quality over quantity, and spending an exorbitant amount of money on a product can only be justified when it's Tom Ford!

I am enamoured by the aesthetics of Tom Ford's packaging. The look and feel of the eye colour quads are luxurious, sleek and highly appealing. The palette features a glossy black-brown exterior with gold accents and comes in a brown suede dust pouch with two small double-ended applicators (but lets be honest, they're useless tools?)

Orchid Haze is a warm-tone palette with a great balance of rosy-plum hues. This palette has a mix of both light and dark, shimmer and matte shades that complement each other really well. The shades included in this quad are all predominantly neutral shades and can be used to achieve a variety of different day or night looks.

Tom Ford eyeshadows are soft to the touch, smooth and rich, almost creamy in texture and they are incredibly pigmented without being too powdery or unpleasantly chalky. These eyeshadows are finely milled, however they do not cause any fall out and they blend seamlessly on the lids.

The first shade is a frosted rosy champagne colour and is a great highlight shade for the center lid or all over. The second colour is a burnished bronze shade with a fairly warm undertone and a frosty, slightly metallic finish. Shade three is a rosy mauve shade. It has a subtle iridescent sheen and is my favourite lid shade for a very soft smokey eye. The fourth shade in the pan is a deep hazy purple colour with more of a slightly cool undertone and a matte finish. This shade is often used to deepen the outer corners or blended softly into the crease to add more depth to the eyes.

Tom Ford eye colour quads retail for $120 at David Jones which is pretty standard for a high-end product. Is this something that you absolutely need? Probably not unless you're an avid luxe beauty collector, but if you're looking to splurge or spoil yourself - definitely yes! One hundred percent yes!

*Many thanks to my beauty bestie Thy for gifting me this palette for my birthday late last month! xx

  1. What a stunning gift you lucky thing! It looks like such a beautiful palette. Doubt I could afford it at the moment sadly. Would love to see what this palette looks like on the eye :)

    1. Maybe I'll do a pictorial using this pallette! A day to night look, perhaps 😊
