Sigma Beauty *

If you've been following me on Instagram, you would have already seen the box of Sigma Beauty goodies I received earlier this week. Some of you may have already guessed - I am now a proud affiliate of Sigma (quite a fitting relationship considering how I have been a fan of their products for the longest time now). There is no doubt about it, Sigma has always been held in esteem for the high quality of their brushes and innovative products.

Make up brushes are indispensable tools when it comes to applying make up. I have been using Sigma brushes for the last 5 years and they're still in pretty good condition. According to Sigma, each brush handles are made from lightweight, sustainable source of wood which is then coated in 8 coats of paint to ensure it is scratch resistant and long-lasting. They have a patented 3-ring brush ferrule made from high performance SigmaAlloy for strength and durability. Depending on the type of brush, Sigma has an exclusive selection of high performance synthetic fibers (SigmaTech Fibers) featuring technologically advanced filaments with specialised tips to hold and apply cream and/or powder products without them being absorbed into the bristles. These brushes maintain their colour and shape between multiple washes. Sigmax Fiber brushes are engineered to apply cream and powder products evenly and features premium filaments for softness, resistance to heat and chemicals with mechanical strength and high level of durability. All fibers from the Sigma brush range are antibacterial and hypoallergenic.

The bristles of these brushes are incredibly soft and they pick up and blend make up products seamlessly. They have a luxurious feel and are easy to handle. If you often wear make up or if you're a self-proclaimed beauty junky like I am, quality make up brushes are definitely worth investing in - your make up is only as good as your tools.

Brush care is very important. Not only does it prolong the life of your brushes, sanitising them reduces the risk of break outs, infections and other health risk from mould bacteria harboured deep within the bristles. You can find a full review of the new Sigma Spa Express Brush Cleaning glove here.

Although Sigma's niche was make up brushes, they also have a range of cosmetics including the two I received one being an individual eyeshadow in 'Fawn' and a powder blush in 'Heavenly'.

Sigma eyeshadows are rich in pigmentation and are smooth and soft in texture. They blend seamlessly and Sigma claims that they are also formulated to be long-wearing (I will get back to you on this one once I have properly tested them). 'Fawn' yields a sheer-medium buildable colour pay off. This is a perfect all-over lid colour or as a highlight shade. It is a frosty-metallic champagne colour, also wears beautifully as a face highlighter! The consistency is thin and dry but not powdery - I honestly did not experience any fall out with this. For a more intense foiled effect this can be worn wet with a spritz of fix+

The Powder blush included in my package is smooth and silky. It's pigmented and has a matte finish. Although this too was also dry in consistency, it wasn't at all powdery and applied and blended evenly for a very natural flush of colour.

The pan of the blush is small and compact making them portable and travel-friendly, however these come with a transparent lid without a mirror but on the up-side they're a lot easier when it comes to picking out colours because you can see them without having the open them or read the labels. This has a sheer to light, buildable coverage.

The shade "heavenly" is between a peach and an apricot colour, the perfect shade for spring/summer! For more information or to shop these products, check out their website
