Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Contouring Powder *

This may come to you as a little bit of a shock (ironically because I own copious amounts of bronzer and contouring powders and palette…), but I only just learnt how to perfect the art of contouring… about 20 masterclasses and ten squillion make up tutorials on youtube later. Most of the problem wasn't with technique or blending/application, it was probably finding the perfect product. Well problem solved, because I might have just found my holy grail contouring powder.

The Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Contouring Powder is described as a universally-flattering contour powder that claims to sculpt, define and naturally enhance facial features.

The packaging of this product is absolutely stunning. It looks and feels so sleek - this is definitely a high-quality luxury product. This compact features silver and leather details and you get a pretty generous amount of product judging on the size of the pan. this has a magnetic closure, much similar to the blushes, powders and bronzers from Dior's 2015 Summer Collection.

This contouring powder is between a light to medium muted brown with slightly grey undertones. The texture is smooth like satin and is firm and densely packed in the pan. It's thin, dry and pigmented but not at all powdery or caking. This has an incredibly flexible and customisable intensity. You could apply this sheer for a natural sculpted look or build it up to a strong and dramatic, chiselled look. I am absolutely amazed by how well this blended - truly seamless and it was so easy to control and layer and build.

I find that this shade is definitely universal and would compliment most skin tones. It's perfect for contouring because it mimics natural shade and does not muddy up the face. The formula of the Rodial contouring powder was also quite long-lasting (between 6-8 hours of visibility) and felt weightless on the skin.

If contouring is your thing and you've been foraging the market for "the one", you're pretty much guaranteed to fall in love with Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe contouring powder. This can be purchased online here on their website.

  1. That packaging though! Stunning! The shade look super universal and I love how cool and relatively light it is. Definitely looks like it would be easy to work with!

    1. It's very cool, very light! Easy to build up and control...the best for those who are quite heavy handed with blush/bronzers
