Diorskin Nude Tan Tie Dye Edition Blush 001 Pink Sunrise

A few months ago, I decided to spoil myself and purchase the new Diorskin Nude Tan Tie Dye Edition blush harmony in 001 'Pink Sunrise'. This product is a part of the Christian Dior Tie Dye Collection for summer 2015. There were 2 variants of this blush, one being the 001 Pink Sunrise and the other in this collection is the 002 'Coral Sunset'.

This product comes packaged in a very luxurious silver metal compact with a magnetic enclosure. Also included with this blush is a small dust pouch and a mini kabuki brush. The packaging is simply gorgeous! It's a very luxe, quilted design. It's really weighted and quite bulky making this a little inconvenient to travel with but it's too irresistible to not have…This literally is beautiful inside and outside.

This product features a lovely gradation of soft pinks and pearly mauves. The Diorskin Blush has a soft-matte, satin finish with visible specks of silver glitters that translate as an indistinct subtle glimmer. Pink sunrise is described as a soft pink blush used to brighten light complexions where as Coral sunset is used to sculpt tanned skin tones. This blush is firm and densely packed. It is slightly powdery and dry in consistency but the texture of it is very smooth and fine. The pigmentation of this product is fair - definitely a sheer tone blush, which may or may not be a good thing to most people but I personally quite like it as it gives a very natural flush to the cheeks and it's lot easier to control for those of you who can be quite heavy handed when applying blush. Colour and coverage is buildable, for a better colour pay off it will take quite a bit of layering which doesn't bother me much because you get quite a generous amount of product in this compact. My only disappointment is that the colour in the pan does not translate the same on the skin. Judging by the look of it it may seem like a vibrant pop of colour, whereas on the skin it's much more of a pale pink/soft pastel shade. This isn't a long-wearing blush and because of it's dry texture it makes it quite hard to wear over powder products, matte foundations or bare skin. To get the best use out of this product I normally layer it on top of a more emollient foundation or a cream blush for it to adhere better.

Although it was a little lacking in some aspect, I personally still love this blush, it's definitely one of the most extravagant collectable item I own…I obviously bought this on impulse. I'm not too sure if this is still available at David Jones or Myer as it is a Limited Edition and it sold out at my local store, but if did happen you find one - do share!
