Face and Body tan and tontour ft. Michael Brown & St. Tropez

Let's be honest, who here has already started working on their summer body? For those of you who struggle to find time to haul ass to the gym, love food way too much to go on a diet or simply ain't got no time for dat, I only have two words to share; body contouring.

Summer beauty trends are fairly predictable, and one thing is always for certain - Glowing bronze, sun-kissed skin is always hot on trend. Here are a few cheeky tanning tips and tricks brought to you by St. Tropez Skin finishing expert, Michael Brown.

Tontouring and the best products to achieve this.

Tontouring is just like face contouring.  Using highlight and shade you can lengthen an area with light and shorten areas with shade.  If there is an area on the body you want to slim, apply a more product on that area to create a shading effect.  Use moisturiser to add a luminous glow to areas you would like to highlight.  These areas usually include shins, forearms and collar bones.

The St.Tropez Self Tan Express Mousse ($59.95) is perfect for a lasting tan, while the St.Tropez Instant Wash Off Tan ($19.95) is ideal for a quick fix, one day glow.  Both are used first to create colour and depth on the body.

Then once set, I recommend using the St.Tropez Tan Enhancing Moisturiser ($19.95) to highlight certain parts of the body, such as collar bones. A trick of mine is to mix the St.Tropez Tan Enhancing Moisturiser with a face highlighter to reflect light and lengthen limbs.

Top three tanning products in your kit.
The most used product in my kit would be the St.Tropez Instant Wash Off Tan ($19.95) as I am always on shoots or applying tan for red carpet events.  These are often used on occasions where you need instant bronzing to match your outfit.  It is ideal to perfect your complexion and add instant colour to the skin.

For a pre-planned tan, I use the St.Tropez Express Mousse ($59.95) the most as I like that it provides varied options of colour depth. Ranging from light, medium and dark depending on how long it is left on the skin for.

Lastly, I could not live without is the St.Tropez Self Tan Applicator Mitt ($11.95).  It is the best way to apply self tan as no colour gets caught in the natural grooves in your hands.  The result is streak free, even colour.

Essential tanning tips for tanning and body contouring.
Always moisturise the body in the lead up to a self tan application for a closer bond of the product on skin.  On the day of tan, moisturise only the elbows, hands, knees and feet this will prevent tan catching on the driest areas of the body and over developing.

Using your St.Tropez Self Tan Applicator Mitt ($11.95), apply a light layer of the St.Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse ($39.95) to body, applying extra product on larger areas for a contouring effect.

Once the formula has developed and the guide colour showered off, moisturise the body with the St.Tropez Tan Enhancing Moisturiser ($19.95).  To highlight, apply extra moisturiser to the highest parts of the body, such as collar bones and shins.

Stay tuned for more details, information and reviews on all of the products mentioned in this post! x
