Laura Mercier New Releases 2015

Exciting things are expected to hit Laura Mercier counters this season. Earlier this month, Laura Mercier released the Paint wash Liquid Lip Colour in 9 permanent shades and the Creme Smooth Lipstick range in 8 new shades, bringing the total shade range up to 37.

But the most exciting impending releases that have me antsy for weeks is the Silk Creme Photo Edition foundations. If you're familiar with the Silk Creme foundation you'll be happy to know that it is reformulated in two different variations - Moisturising and oil-free!

The Silk Creme Oil-free Photo Edition foundation creates a flawless canvas with a natural matte finish. The oil-free, long-wear formula blends seamlessly and conceals almost all imperfections specifically marketed for sensitive, normal to oily skin types. It visibly evens and retextures the skin to provide a flawless and smooth base. It's full coverage, highly pigmented and is colour-true. The formula is non-drying and very lightweight on the skin making it very comfortable to wear for long hours. It has a silk powder technology with tea extracts and vitamins A and E. To apply it is suggested that you use a sponge for flawless coverage.

The Silk Creme Moisturising Photo Edition foundation is marketed for those with normal/combination to dry skin types like myself. It has a natural luminous dewy finish and evens skin tone and smoothes imperfections. The key benefits are similar to the oil-free version in that it is highly pigmented, lightweight and long-wearing and it also stays colour true, only the difference is the formula is more hydrating and helps prevent the skin from drying out. It has a silk protein fiber with tea extracts moisturising complex and pearlescent pigments which is light-reflecting giving you that healthy luminous glow. To apply, it's recommended that you use a sponge with this foundation as well but I'm guessing it works just as well with a duo-fibre, buffing brush or clean fingers.

There are a total of 12 permanent shades in both the oil-free and moisturising silk creme foundation and is set to release on the 3rd of May at Laura Mercier counters at David Jones stores nationally (or available online) at a retail price of $59 AUD.

But wait!

There is more. On June 8th (a special date for my partner and I) Laura Mercier will be launching a myriad of new, limited edition products!

Laura Mercier Un Été A Ibiza - LE Winter Colour Collection
Eye Glace - Moonglaze, Wet Sand and Blazing sun ($30AUD)
Face Illuminator - Indiscretion ($42AUD)
Baked Blush Bronze - Ritual ($42AUD)
Paint Wash Liquid Lip Colour - Sunblaze ($30AUD)

I'm trying ever so hard to contain my excitement…

This contour palette will also be available on counters in June. This is Limited Edition people! Once it's gone, it's gone! I learnt the hard way with previous L.E…so if you're going to contemplate on getting this now is the time to do so, because once this is released - there will be no time for you to be indecisive before it's sold out.

Who's ready and keen?!
