Maybelline New York Colour Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil

If you're an avid fan or a collector of lip products, let me introduce to you the new Maybelline New York colour drama intense velvet lip pencils.

The Maybelline New York colour drama lip pencils come in 10 gorgeous shades and apply just like a lipstick but with a lot more ease and extra precision as it is a sharpenable lip product with a pointed tip.

The packaging of these are petite and cute making it a great travel essential or to keep in your bag for touch ups. These lip pencils are scented, but nothing unpleasant…I would describe the scent to be identical to strawberry or raspberry jelly crystals.

Left swatch "Nude Perfection"/Right swatch "Berry Much"

I picked up my Maybelline colour drama lip pencils at Priceline where there were limited stocks left and I'm not surprised why these are selling out so fast - This is definitely a hit product! I got 'nude perfection' which is a muted beige-nude and 'berry much' which is a gorgeous deep berry-purple shade.

I am completely impressed by the formula of these lip pencils! These are pigmented, high-intensity colours that are creamy with a velvet-matte finish. You can expect an amazing colour pay off with these. These wear evenly, beautifully and comfortably. The lasting-power of 'berry much' was roughly 4-5 hours (with drinking and eating) before leaving behind a lovely tint. I do not find these to be drying on the lips but I did notice that these do accentuate and cling to dry flakey skin so you'd definitely need to moisturise and exfoliate before applying.

These are definitely comparable to the NARS velvet lip pencils, but for the price of $9.95 AUD these are definitely more desirable and worth the hype. I can definitely say that these are living up to it's expectations.

Currently stocked at Big W, Target, Priceline and selected chemists Australia-wide.

  3. I keep seeing these on all my Aussie instagram loves feeds and I'm just green with envy!!!! Poor old Canada always left out, and we are always behind the states in new makeup releases as well so we totally feel your pain on that one. Although you guys are much more left out on other things more than we are for shipping and what not so that has to be poopy! Seems like these are extremely popular and I can totally see why. I wonder why Maybelline decided to only launch this range for you guys? It would be a smash hit over here and they would make loads of cash!! Love your blog and instagram. I'm currently binge reading all of your posts! ♡♡

  5. Any timing difference between a frame grabber's sampling clock and camera's pixel clock has the potential to cause measurement error. เกมป๊อกเด้ง
