Laura Mercier Creme Cheek Colour *

I've been a big fan of cream products lately - cream eyeshadows, creamy lip colours, cream contouring palettes, cream blushes…

A product I've been really loving lately and have been constantly featuring in my #motd on instagram is the Laura Mercier Creme Cheek Colour. This petite single compact contains 2g worth of product and is available in a range of 6 different shades. These creme cheek colours are packaged in a small compact case identical to the Laura Mercier individual eyeshadows. These creme blushes are available in singles or can be popped out and placed in a customisable palette. The great thing about these are that they are cute and conveniently portable. You have the option to carry them in a palette (handy for make up kits) or individually and they are fit perfectly in your purse or clutch for touch ups…each individual compact includes a mirror. Very, very handy indeed!

These are described as long-lasting, natural cheek colours formulated to give a translucent, buildable coverage for a soft velvety finish. It claims to provide a quick and simple way to create naturally flushed cheeks. It supposedly gives you a more illuminated and healthy complexion and the creamy consistency allows ample play time before the product sets.

Laura Mercier Creme Cheek Colour in the shade 'Rosebud'

The consistency of these are fairly thin, with a silky smooth and creamy texture. Colour pay-off is amazing! These are so rich in pigment and highly saturated that a little bit of product will go quite a long way. These cheek colours are flexible in terms of intensity. This product may be applied and blended with a light hand for a translucent wash of colour or "flush", or can be easily built up to a very bold and striking shade.

Please excuse the poor swatches…they're flawless and a lot more pigmented and silky in person, I promise! Left swatch, right blended. This sample is in the shade 'Rosebud' - Described to be a 'clean mauve' shade.

I found these applied with much ease - they glide on the skin fairly well and blended out seamlessly with little effort required. You could apply these with clean fingertips, a damp sponge or with a dense or duo fibre brush. I find the formula of this product to be more suitable for people with normal to dry skin types. It's lightweight, non-sticky, non-greasy and fragrance free. This wore beautifully for up to 8 hours on me. It did not fade, it did not transfer and it did not separate or melt off my face.

I absolutely love the Laura Mercier Creme Cheek Colours. I can only express disappointment in the limited shade ranges. These retail for $35 AUD In stores or online at David Jones and Adore Beauty. And yes you're pretty much paying for quality rather than quantity here so you can decide whether or not it's worth it. I personally think it's great considering how it proved it be water-resistant, sweat proof and very long lasting and despite the very few shade options, these are flattering on people with fair to deep skin tones.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss anything relating to this brand or product, feel free to leave a comment! x

    1. Yes! And believe it or not I swatched it on my wrist and showered 8 hours later. I tried to rub it off with soap and water and it didn't budge
